We tried a personal trainer at a big gym but had a bad experience - a trainer who didn't engage with my wife and wasn't attentive to her needs. At 68 years ‘young’ I am a runner, and have struggled for a decent ‘run time’ (for me), plus strength, balance and agility…especially running and getting over rocks, curbs, branches, and slippery leaves. Update [2020]:
When I retired 4 years ago (2016), I decided to go to Wally because he had a small studio gym & was a seasoned Personal Trainer rather than a young gym less experienced person.
I never worked out before then, so when I first went to Wally I could barely do anything! I can now lift & do things I never believed I could do: e.g, rowing 5,000 meters, planks for over 30 seconds, get off the ground without having to support myself fully, and even lifting 10lb dumbbells over my head.
Wally works with me on strength & balance which keeps me going in my senior years, and especially to overcome a neurological disorder I’ve had since my youth.
[2016 ]: I’ve had a multitude of bodily issues for many years, from balance, to strength, to no muscle strength at all most of my life. After training at Wally’s for a little over a month I am already seeing strength to walk up steps without much effort, and every day functionality – so very, very happy!! *
