As the owner of BODY BY WALLY, I’ve had the pleasure of being able to positively influence lives in the area of fitness and nutrition for over 5 decades, and continuously invest time and effort to stay current on the science of health and fitness. My objective is to reach as many people as possible with science-backed, proven methodologies for improving health and fitness, regardless of their life stage and starting point.

Born out of my passion for Health & Wellness and for a Life Lived Well, I've had the pleasure of positively influencing others to a healthier lifestyle having 5 decades of experience in the 'world-of-fitness'.
As a Professional Trainer, I know that no two bodies are alike, so the more specialized or advanced your training may need to be and the more customized it must become. As specialists in the field of body transformations, we are 100% committed to helping you meet your fitness goals & to reach your maximum potential.
Your Personal Fitness Journey is a distinctive expression of your lifestyle, goals, and body's needs, so no matter your fitness level I aim to train you up to be as fit as you possibly can, whether it's just being able to move around better or doing 500+ push-ups (I’m serious).
So if you want results bad enough, no matter your level of fitness, I’ll help get you there with everything that's within me; to have you reach your goals and stop struggling to try or figure out what will work. You will soon start challenging yourself to do things you never thought were possible; you'll be surprised at what you're able to accomplish.
We combine data from your fitness assessment at your first visit, along with information about your lifestyle you share with us in order to build a program that is specific to you and your goals. Exercise formats may be a basic overall fitness structure or other times we’ll go outside the box and push the envelope – always focusing on your goals and fitness ability. And we'll increase the challenge of your training to ensure you never reach a plateau and are always making progress.
We want you to have fun and enjoy your training. However, we also want you to give it all you have so you can become all that YOU want to be. Whether you believe it or not, you can and you will find that AMAZING inside of you. We humbly believe we're one of the best, as we have long-time practical experience, and endeavor to help and guide each and every person to have the knowledge they need and take that experience and information with them for the rest of their lives.
Through my many years of training, I have practiced and trained in the Martial Arts, Bodybuilding, Weightlifting, Isometric & Negative training, and Calisthenics.
My 'recent' name to fame (to me anyway LOL) was when I did 1,006 Push-ups in 63:48 min. on my birthday in 2020.
Isometric and Negative Training are proven methodologies for all fitness levels; from professional athletes to people in therapy or recovery, as I have evidenced personally with my clients in the past, and of which I have practiced most of my adult life.
I take years of scientifically proven exercise techniques and incorporate them with today’s methods, always working to find the ‘perfect blend’ of personalization so each client gets the most from his or her training.
And to be sure I am teaching exercise movements and nutrition correctly, I refer to both my experience and SPORTS SCIENCE/MEDICINE CORPORATIONS. For Nutrition, and some exercise clinical studies, I leverage my research with MAYO CLINIC; HARVARD & DUKE HEALTH, & the CLEVELAND CLINIC.
It all started when I began exercising in the 4th through 6th grade before school each morning; encouraged by my father who was a 3 time AAU Gold Medalist on the Flying Rings in the 1940’s, and a two-time U.S Amputee Golf Champion. At the age of 19, I took up Weightlifting (and bodybuilding later on), my father’s Calisthenics, Martial Arts, and have virtually not stopped ever since.
MARTIAL ARTS: My disciplines include: Shotokan, Uechi-ryu, and Commando Krav Maga. My Uechi-rye instructor Rick Martin, was the only American to ever win the Okinawan Champion title in 1995.
In my late 20's I met a nutritionist, Mike D., who set me on a path of ‘eating to win’. Since then I've read virtually every label on food I have purchased at the grocery store - watching carefully what I eats to stay fit (yes, I do cheat here and there).
CIRCUIT TRAINING is a world-wide known method to train, and in 1976 I had the privilege of being trained under Gary S. who worked directly beside Dr. Arthur Jones who invented and introduced the entire worlds’ eye towards the Nautilus Circuit Training System. Thereafter, Dr. Jones' equipment & system became a popular method of training especially with athletes the world over - even to this day.
JACK LALANNE, "the godfather of fitness", was one of my inspirations, even from my youth; I have studied and trained his methods for many years. Jacks methods are used even today and many of his feats of muscular endurance have yet to be accomplished by anyone. Other fitness disciplines include:
DYNAMIC TENSION (now called Isometrics - incredible overall strength and core development) – a lost but essential art of exercise of which I have studied over many decades; made world-famous in the 1950's & '60's by Charles Atlas.
BRUCE LEE - need I even comment? I never studied Jeet Kune Do; but I did and still do, train many of his exercises, especially his Isometrics.
Each and everyday I am thankful for the influence my father had on me in keeping my body fit. And my mother was on top of all our Nutrition needs and keeping us away from processed food as much as possible.
I am blessed to be able to bring to you a lifetime of fitness and the honor of changing people's lives for the better.

I established my Training Studio having over 5 decades of Fitness Experience. It was time to leave the world of work as I knew it and professionally do what I know best, love, and have preached to friends, relatives, and strangers most of my adult life - and to stop the madness of so much misinformation on fitness. My passion is to inspire and motivate your as I endeavor to directly change the "Quality of Life" of those committed to a healthier self and find that spark inside you that will make a significant change in your overall health.
With my exercising for over 5 decades, I humbly believe we're one of the best; as we have long-time practical experience, and endeavor to help and guide each and every person to have the knowledge they need, so that they can carry that experience and information with them for the rest of their lives.

When Choosing a Professional Fitness Trainer, the deciding factor should be their experience, and that experience must transcend the norm in the fitness industry. And to add to that, the trainer/coach MUST have the ability to communicate that experience to the individual, or time and money will be wasted. WE DELIVER!
When you exercise, MAKE EVERY REPETITION COUNT, AS THOUGH THAT 1 REP IS THE ONE & ONLY ONE YOUR WILL DO, AND THAT "IT" IS THE REP THAT WILL CHANGE YOU. MAKE EACH ONE COUNT EVERY SINGLE TIME!
For it is not all about the total repetitions you do, but how EFFECTIVE it is. No need to spend hours exercising (unless a competitive athlete); it is always best to MAXIMIZE THE TIME you spend working out, by doing what is proven to be the best per Sports-Science.

Through of practice, I have also pretty much mastered the art of NEGATIVE & ISOMETRIC training, the true foundation of strength - used by Professional Athletes & Martial Art Masters World-wide (one of the main reasons Bruce Lee was known for his amazing strength, even at only around 137 lbs.) - also what Physical Therapists use (but on a totally different level and purpose).
This type training is virtually a lost art, it is how we have helped so many people that hardly ever did a Push-up or Pull-up, to doing hundreds in a short workout.
I have also followed the teachings of CHARLES ATLAS who created "DYNAMIC TENSION" in the 1950's, now typically called, Isometrics). JACK LaLANNE ("the godfather of fitness" as named by Arnold Schwarzenegger). And of course, BRUCE LEE'S exercise routines. And as mentioned earlier, my father Wally Sr. who was a 3 time AAU Gold Medalist on the Flying Rings, and 2 time U.S. Amputee Golf Champion. These are/were my heroes, mentors, and inspiration.
Here is one piece of advice that almost nobody does; and you don't have to spend 2-3 hours in the gym - that's insanity (unless training for a big event). Here's one of my secrets: other than consistency, intensity, proper form and diet:
When I’m going to do a set, I am aware of every muscle group in my mind...visualizing that area; I’ve already put myself in that training position for my muscles to do the work, I don't do the work and expect my body to get in position and then perform the exercise. I am mentally and physically aware to engage/contract my muscles fully in order to get the most effect out of each and every single repetition.
Machines predetermine where your muscles should go, instead of your muscles going where they SHOULD. On a free bar you can always adjust your positioning so it's an accurate and precise natural movement.

Train With Purpose By Adding Structure to Your Workouts With a Professional Trainer.
A qualified personal fitness coach / trainer can help you safely start and maintain an effective exercise regiment and understands your 'fitness goals' to help you achieve them. A personal trainer can be a great source of motivation & encouragement, as well as a resource for the latest objective health and fitness information.
When choosing a professional fitness coach/trainer the deciding factor should be their experience, and that experience must transcend the norm in the fitness industry. And to add to that, the trainer/coach MUST have the ability to communicate that experience to the individual or time and money will be wasted.
Fitness At Its Best! Ever know anyone that went to the gym and hit the weights, machines, and Group Classes for years, yet never REALLY changed significantly? Then others, within a short time, have a total transformation. Here is an example of why: The majority of people that take up a hobby/sport such as Golf, Tennis, Running, etc. never use a trainer; year after year they struggle to improve their game but only do so in small increments.
Most every one of the people in this example try year after year to break 100 or even 90 in Golf, or endeavor to play Tennis at a higher level, or Run a 10k in a respectable time, yet never do. When a person takes up a sport or exercise, in order to see significant results in a much shorter period of time, they (almost without exception) MUST hire a coach/trainer to be sure they are executing the techniques correctly.
A trainer turns weaknesses into strengths and can see what that person could NEVER see on their own; that's why every professional athlete has a coach/trainer no matter how great they may be – to always take their game to a higher level and to keep it that way. A Personal Trainer is like going to a mechanic.... they both find out what's wrong, find any weaknesses or malfunctions, and then fix it.
A person that utilizes a Professional and Highly-Experienced Trainer (that has lived what they preach for at least 5-10 years) will almost without exception, attain their goals extraordinarily fast and safe – going to a level of fitness that would be almost impossible to attain on their own.
Respectfully, trainers that have worked out only a few years and then start training others do NOT have the proper experience; it takes YEARS to develop the skills, experience, knowledge, and wide-range of applicable abilities to PROPERLY train another person.
For instance; if a trainer is a male weightlifter (and that is his main knowledge source) and tries to train a female that wants to tone and lose weight, or someone has physical limitations or past injuries of which proper care is needed, that trainer will most inevitably NOT be able to help them, and most likely will cause injury. DO utilize a trainer, but pick wisely.
